Another step in life.

This is the first picture I took of her after she got her permit handed to her.

On June 3rd we stepped into a new journey in our lives. Kelsey started drivers ed. She can not possibly be that old already. It seems like not to long ago we were in the hospital and in shock we had a little girl. While all along we thought she was a boy, thanks to the ultrasound we had. Kelsey was the toddler that had NO interest in riding toys. This is the child that decided to shake her head while riding her bike, and feel off and gave herself a concussion. And now she is driving a car that goes faster then 5 mph.

I took her to get her permit June 3rd. She was the happiest person around. She was smiling so big, I thought the boy of her dreams asked her out. After we signed all the papers and got her picture taken for her permit, we were on our way out of the License Branch door............................when those 4 dreaded words came out of her mouth.................."CAN I DRIVE HOME"? Those 4 BIG words I was not ready to hear or even answer. I kept walking in hopes thats not what I heard. Then I heard those words again.................and could not ignore them. I didn't say a word and handed those precious keys over to Kelseys hands. I started to say a prayer that I would make it home in one piece. It was a little scary to be sitting there in the passenger seat with NO did you hear me NO control over the car. We made it to Jacobs house (her friend). And that is where I met Jeff to trade with him. I figured he would do better at teaching her this skill then I would be.

Here is is the 14th of June and I have riden with her a few times and she is getting better. And the most important thing is we are all still alive and no dents or dings on either vechilce.

Saturday playdate.

Saturday afternoon was such a lovely day. We decided to invite our friends over for the afternoon. We put water in the tug boat pool, and got all the riding toys out. We all had fun. It was so much fun watching the toddlers play and swim. Thank you Gabrielle, Emma & Karlie for coming over and playing. for some reason I can't get pictures to upload. Guess I'll try in a little while.

Busy Saturday

Saturday was a busy day for us. We ventured down to The Yellow River Festival for a few hours. The kids enjoyed doing the games. They had a rope bridge the kids could cross, sling shoots, ring toss. There were Indians there and they did their little dances. The kids were mesmerized by them. Elliot was able to make a candle and a rope. He thought the rope was great. The weather was perfect. Grandma joined us for this adventure. Karlie also joined in our fun.
